“I've had many lessons, been through many driving schools and instructors; but Wimbledon Driving School helped me to pass. Russ and Farooq were my instructors and they were the best I have met. I am a TV producer and did a series about driving schools and this is the best driving school in my professional opinion.”
Rima Rouf, Tooting Bec, London
“I must say that I am extremely happy with the lessons compared to the last driving school. I learnt so much more in just 3 lessons than I did in over 20 at my previous school. I am very confident that this school is one of the best in London, if not the best.”
Paul Tavarez, New Malden, Surrey

If you're struggling to learn to drive, you could try switching to an automatic. An automatic car is much easier to start, stop, and steer. It has just two pedals (accelerator and brake) and far fewer headaches for the novice driver.
The big advantage of an automatic is that there's no clutch pedal. That means you won't have to worry about stalling, crashing your gears, or finding the bite point. You can concentrate on the road while your car's automatic gearbox sorts out the gear changes for you.
These days, most car-makers offer a good range of automatics. To make them more appealing to Europeans, the manufacturers have developed hi-tech easytronic and tiptronic gearboxes. Some industry pundits think Britain will follow in the footsteps of America, where they prefer automatics to manuals.
Although the long-term outlook for automatics is good, there is one big drawback to learning to drive in one. When you pass your test, your licence will be limited to cars with two pedals and an automatic gearbox. You will not be licensed to drive a car with a manual gearbox. If that doesn't bother you, an automatic could be just what you need to help you sail through your test.
We've helped many nervous south Londoners pass their driving test in an automatic. With fewer mechanical distractions, they found the time to concentrate on the essentials of road sense and safe handling of the car. They gained a new sense of freedom and self-assurance.
Give yourself a break from stalling, nerves, and the horn blasts of other less-patient road users. Call us on 0800 511 8800 and we'll help you find out if an automatic car gives you a more confident view of the road.
And if this is your first lesson with us, it'll cost you just £10. Now that really is an easy ride.
