“I've had many lessons, been through many driving schools and instructors; but Wimbledon Driving School helped me to pass. Russ and Farooq were my instructors and they were the best I have met. I am a TV producer and did a series about driving schools and this is the best driving school in my professional opinion.”
Rima Rouf, Tooting Bec, London
“I must say that I am extremely happy with the lessons compared to the last driving school. I learnt so much more in just 3 lessons than I did in over 20 at my previous school. I am very confident that this school is one of the best in London, if not the best.”
Paul Tavarez, New Malden, Surrey
Driving Schools New Malden (KT3)Our driving school proudly serves the New Malden (KT3) area with automatic and manual driving lessons. The information below is intended to help you develop your driving skills further in the key driving competencies and has been provided by our DSA-licenced driving instructors. We hope you find it useful. Areas to do controls/Moving off & Stopping It is best to start this subject on a quiet road like Windsor Avenue. Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions WDS recommend doing a circuit which starts on Potters Grove. Then if we follow the road left on to South Park Grove and emerges right on to Green Lane. Green Lane then becomes Windsor Avenue. Then if we take the first road left off Windsor Avenue we are on to Cotsford Avenue. At the end of this road we can emerge left on to South Lane. Then if we take the fourth left we are back on to Potters Grove. This allows the learner to practice steering, MSPSL and Peep and Creep techniques. Meeting Traffic Meeting traffic is a situation where two vehicles are trying to pass through a space where only one car can pass. In these situations it is often vital to read the body language of the other vehicle. This is especially so where there are cars on both sides of the road and no priority exists. Westbury Road or Grayham Road are both perfect to develop experience and understanding of this difficult topic. Roundabouts The Fountain Roundabout where Burlington Road, Kingston Road, High Street and Malden Road come together; can be used to illustrate priorities, methods of positioning and the appropriate signals for a given exit. Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals Driving down High Street there are plenty of crossings which can be used to demonstrate the various different types of crossings and the rules applying to road markings. Planning issues can also be addressed on these routes. Areas to do manoeuvres Reverse around a corner can be practiced at the corner of Green Lane and Barnsbury Close. Another nice corner to use is the corner of Green Lane and Gooding Close. The turn in the road exercise can be done down Cotsford Avenue. Parallel parking can be done in Cotsford Avenue. Local test centres According to the DSA's website (in order of proximity to KT3) these are the closest test centres to the New Malden area, PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE OVERALL PASS RATES FOR THAT TEST CENTRE, NOT WIMBLEDON DRIVING SCHOOL.
