“I am glad I enrolled at Wimbledon Driving School. Firstly the instructors are very friendly and adept at tutoring beginners and they helped me pass sooner than I myself expected. Also the rates are very affordable. I will definitely recommend them to anybody wishing to drive.

“I started with Wimbledon Driving School after a long stint with another instructor. So I was very nervous about doing it all over again but was very pleased by the standards and professionalism of my instructor. Patient and experienced he guided me through the difficult areas and made me feel confident to take the test. I was over the moon to pass the test and its all down to the training I received.
Thank you Wimbledon Driving School.”

Driving Schools Colliers WoodOur driving school proudly serves the Colliers Wood area with automatic and manual driving lessons. The information below is intended to help you develop your driving skills further in the key driving competencies and has been provided by our DSA-licenced driving instructors. We hope you find it useful. Areas to do controls/Moving off & Stopping It is best to start this subject on a quiet road like either Marlborough Road or Robinson Road. Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions WDS recommend doing a circuit which starts on Marlborough Road. Then if we turn left on to Norfolk Road and emerge left we are on to Robinson Road. Taking the first road left off Robinson Road we are on to Birdhurst Road. Then if we take the first right we are on to Clive Road. At the end of this road we can turn left which takes us on to Park Road. Taking the second left leads us back on to Marlborough Road. This allows the learner to practice steering, MSPSL and Peep and Creep techniques. Meeting Traffic Meeting traffic is a situation where two vehicles are trying to pass through a space where only one car can pass. In these situations it is often vital to read the body language of the other vehicle. This is especially so where there are cars on both sides of the road and no priority exists. Cavendish Road is perfect to develop experience and understanding of this difficult topic. Roundabouts The roundabout where Merantun Way, Watermill Way and High Street come together; can be used to illustrate priorities, methods of positioning and the appropriate signals for a given exit. Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals Driving down Colliers Wood High Street there are plenty of crossings which can be used to demonstrate the various different types of crossings and the rules applying to road markings. Planning issues can also be addressed on these routes. Areas to do manoeuvres Reverse around a corner can be practiced at the corner of Cavendish Road and Holmbury Court. Another nice corner to use is the corner of Park Road and Marlborough Road. The turn in the road exercise can be done down Wilton Road. Parallel parking can be done in Cavendish Road. Local test centres According to the DSA's website (in order of proximity to SW19) these are the closest test centres to the Colliers Wood area, PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE OVERALL PASS RATES FOR THAT TEST CENTRE, NOT WIMBLEDON DRIVING SCHOOL.
